Air Navigation Technical Services: out in all weathers. As part of their work on the air navigation infrastructures, the air navigation engineers and technicians or ATSEP (Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel) have direct access to the world of aviation. Very direct, in fact, when a plane roars over, just a few metres from their heads! "The diversity of the work in the technical field is the strong point of our profession" explains Hervé Demule, engineer at skyguide since 1999, busy with his project team from July to mid-December 2008, in the replacement - on runway 05 at Geneva airport - of one of the most important infrastructures of air navigation: the Instrument Landing System (ILS).
