| 01_06_2005_fuel-dump_s-germany.pdf Aircraft dumps fuel over southern Germany. An MD 11 of Thai Airways was obliged to interrupt its flight and dump fuel after taking off from Zurich for Bangkok on 1 June 2005. The fuel was jettisoned between 1415 h and 1435 h CET in the Schwenningen / Schluchsee region. The dumped fuel evaporates in the air and, as numerous studies have shown, poses no threat to either the environment or people on the ground. Lower charges for airlines The unit rate used to calculate skyguide's route charges will be reduced by 11.3% to CHF 118.03 on July 1, 2005 (the unit rate has stood at CHF 133.14 since January 1, 2005, when it was reduced from its 2004 level of CHF 142.44).
