With Switzerland at the crossroads of international air ways, the airspace managed by skyguide is the most complex and most extensively used in Europe. Nevertheless, as confirmed by the European air traffic control agency Eurocontrol, we have continuously both increased airspace capacity and enhanced the punctuality of the flights we manages and monitor over the past 10 years.
Our mandate extends well beyond Switzerland's borders to include areas above France, Italy, Austria and Germany. Over 40% of all the flights handled are in these adjacent airspace.
Thanks to the flexible use of airspace and close collaboration with the Swiss Air Force, civil and military users can be served equally to their best satisfaction.
