Skyguide made substantial progress in reducing its paper consumption in 2019: with an average of 6 kg per person per year, the company made substantial progress compared with the previous year. In 2018, consumption was 7.9 kg per person per year, whereas it is now near the 5 kg target. The printing targets should be achieved by the end of 2020, thanks in part to the digitalisation strategy in the Skyguide academy. This is currently the unit with the highest paper consumption. In addition, a number of printers were removed in 2019. The 144 units previously in use were replaced with only 90 printers with the latest technology and greater energy efficiency. As a result, Skyguide has reduced its energy consumption in this area by 89%, which represents an annual saving of 30 MWh.
