Who guides aircraft through Swiss skies? And who keeps the technology they rely on working? At the Career Days at Zurich Airport, you can go behind the scenes with Skyguide and meet the people who do this work every day.
From 2 to 8 November 2026, Zurich Airport and twelve partner companies invite visitors to take part in the Career Days at Zurich Airport. Whether you are exploring your first career options or considering a change, the programme offers a chance to discover different jobs and meet potential employers.
Skyguide will offer guided tours, presentations and hands-on experiences. Meet our employees, ask about their day-to-day work and find out how you could join them.
Step inside the tower and control centre
When people think of air traffic control, they often picture a control tower. But that is only one part of Skyguide’s work. Visit Zurich Tower and the Area Control Centre to see how air traffic controllers guide aircraft near the airport and through Swiss airspace. Meet the people behind the radar screens and find out what their work involves. Interested in becoming an air traffic controller? Learn about the training, entry requirements and selection process.
Join a technician on the airport grounds
Air traffic controllers and pilots rely on technology every day. Keeping it working takes technical expertise and regular maintenance. Accompany a Skyguide technician on an assignment at Zurich Airport and see radar technology on site. Discover what technicians check and maintain and ask them about the skills their role requires.
Meet the teams who support flight operations
Skyguide’s work also extends beyond air traffic control and technology. Our Air Navigation Service Employees support pilots, airlines, airport authorities and air traffic controllers. Through a presentation and guided tour, you can meet these teams, explore their day-to-day work and see how their services help flights run safely and efficiently.
